Ingredients

  • 224g Tahini (hulled)

  • 40g Coconut sugar

  • 2 tbs Maple syrup

  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract

  • 2 Eggs

  • 75g Cocoa powder

  • 1 tbs Coconut flour

  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda

  • 30g Macadamia nuts (chopped)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees and line a baking tin with greaseproof paper.

  2. Combine tahini, coconut sugar, eggs, vanilla and maple syrup and beat with an electric mixer.

  3. Gently fold in the coconut flour, coconut sugar, cocoa powder and baking soda until mixture is smooth. Add in the chopped nuts. The consistency will be very sticky and thick... this is normal!

  4. Spread batter evenly into baking tray. Bake for 20-25 mins or until knife inserted into middle comes out clean. Don't over bake.

  5. Cool brownies on wire tray and then slice into squares.

This recipe makes 10-12 brownies (depending on how large you cut them). Serve with cream and they are simply delicious.

Enjoy : )
